Corrections & updates

This is the magazine's standing public log of corrections to published pieces and material post-publication updates. We do not silently edit pieces after publication. Every correction is logged here with a date, the affected piece, and a one-sentence description of what changed. Editorial updates that do not change meaning — typo fixes, clarified phrasing, image-caption adjustments — are logged separately at the bottom of this page.

To report a factual error, email corrections@frontierbylines.com with the piece title, the specific sentence, and a citation for the correct information.

At launch, this log is empty of factual corrections. This entry exists to explain the corrections policy and to mark the standing presence of the page itself. The first real correction will appear above this seed entry.

Same as above: no editorial updates have been logged. The standing presence of the page is the point.

Our corrections discipline

The detailed reading of the magazine's corrections discipline is in the editorial guidelines. The summary: when we get something wrong, we say so. The correction lives inside the affected piece, marked as a correction, and is also indexed on this page. We do not edit pieces silently to address criticism, and we do not retroactively rewrite published work to make a position look better than it was. If a piece was wrong in its argument as well as its facts, we leave the original up and publish a new piece reckoning with the error.
